Equipment Policy - Requesting a Windows Computer

Summary

How to request a Windows-based PC.

If you are in one of the following departments that have been approved by Finance and IT, you may be issued a Windows-based PC as your work computer.

Finance Departments: 720, 722, 725 and 728 are approved.

Department 728 has the option for PC or Macbook, with manager's discretion depending on the job role.

If you are not in one of these departments, a standard Apple MacBook Pro will be provided to you, as out lined in our Equipment Policy - Employee Hardware Standards.

How to Request a PC

Contact [e-mail] and include your manager as a CC for approval.

If approved, the IT Team will order a Lenovo X1 Carbon or equivalent model, as outlined in the Employee Hardware Standards linked above.

Only the following departments are provided a PC Computer:

• 720 - Accounting Operations
• 722 - Corporate Accounting
• 725 - Finance and Strategy
• 728 - Finance Shared Services

PC Configuration:

• Lenovo X1 Carbon (black)
• Current Gen Intel Core i7
• Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
• 16 GB RAM
• 512 GB SSD
• NVMe
• 13 - 15" IPS 1920 x 1080 (Full HD or Equivalent Display)
• UHD Graphics 620

NOTE: The IT Team is not able to accommodate requests for "custom built" or upgraded spec PCs
